Ps George and Christina Kanagasabai
Senior Pastors
Pastor George has been a part of the journey of CLA since its early beginnings in his family home more than three decades ago. He has felt the call of God from a young age and has supported the ministry since his childhood. This included serving on the worship team (as a very bad drummer), as a youth pastor, and as associate pastor prior to being appointed as senior pastor in September 2018. Ps George is an ordained minister with Australian Christian Church (ACC). George was a Chartered Accountant previously holding senior leadership positions in the marketplace before being called into full time ministry in 2022. He also holds other board positions with significant Christian organisations, with a focus on reaching children for Christ and Christian education.
Pastor Christina leads Transformation Church alongside George in all aspects of church life, serving as the co-Senior Pastor, and is involved in many areas including teaching and also founding the women’s ministry. Ps Christina is an ordained minister with the ACC, and serves on the regional team for the movement. She has completed theological training through Alphacrucis university college. She previously worked as a general practitioner prior to the call to ministry in 2019. Having this background, she is passionate about connecting with people of all different backgrounds and walks of life. Through a number of personal health challenges, she has experienced firsthand the love God has for her and desires that others experience this too. George and Christina have three amazing kids. Two daughters, Yasmin and Zara, and a son, Eden.
Both George and Christina believe that our mission from God, and led by the Holy Spirit, is to go and make disciples, who make disciples, who make disciples… They are passionate about seeing The Church being able to influence all levels of culture and society, and every generation equipped and empowered to fulfil their destiny in Christ!
